This is the ultimate lazy day dish featuring just 2 key ingredients: Gochujang Mayo Pasta.

Ever since I first made this Gochujang Mayo Pasta, it’s been one of my go-to lazy day dishes! Or even if I need a quick and fuss-free carb to serve on the side. All you need is gochujang, some kewpie mayo, and you have a sweet and savoury, slightly spicy, creamy sauce that is SO delicious.

Key Ingredients to make Gochujang Mayo Pasta

  • Pasta of Choice: I used Rigatoni here, but ANY pasta works so great with this recipe!
  • Gochujang: Korean red pepper paste for the
  • Mayo: Kewpie mayo is the best for this, but others can work too.

How to Make Gochujang Mayo Pasta?

Step 1: Cook Pasta to al dente

Cook your favourite pasta until al dente, and drain. Save some of the pasta water.

Step 2: Make the Gochujang Mayo Sauce

To a pan, add oil and saute minced garlic until fragrant. Add gochujang and mayonnaise and stir to combine.

Step 3: Put it all together

Add the cooked pasta along with some pasta liquid for easier stirring. Once sauce coats the pasta, you are done! Option to garnish with sesame seeds and spring onions.

How to Level This Up?

I made this recipe as easy and foolproof as possible, but you can most certainly incorporate for proteins and vegetables to make this more complete.

Proteins: Stir fry chicken, bacon or sausages before adding the gochujang and mayo!

Vegetables: If I have some spinach on hand, I love tossing this in for a more nutritious meal.

Make it Cheesy: Cheese makes EVERYTHING better. Add cheese after adding in the pasta for a deliciously creamy, savoury meal. Mild creamy mozzarella goes great with gochujang, but even a sprinkle of parmesan can elevate the dish.
