Tokyo’s Turret Coffee has the best and most memorable cup of coffee.
I heard that the famed Omotesando Koffee recently opened shop in Singapore, and that inspired this post.. When the original Tokyo pop-up store closed back in 2015, a bunch of coffee nerds, myself included, went WHYYY and withered and died.
Omotesando Koffee serves up a good brew, but Turret Coffee wins the top spot for best coffee is Tokyo for me (thus far).
Located in the vicinity of the famous Tsukiji market, this hole-in-the-wall café is the perfect pitstop for a good cup of brew.
The in-house Turret blend is delicious. The quality artisanal blend is very aromatic, with the ever so slightest hint of some spice that I can’t quite discern. Mild, but just enough to give the coffee a distinctive taste.
I highly recommend the Turret Latte, which was an in-house special. I thought the Sea Salt Caramel Latte was equally as delightful. I’m not one for fancy-flavoured coffee, so I was more than happy with my Latte.
I still miss Turret Coffee to this day. If you’re around Tsukiji Market, definitely visit this café for a refreshing respite.
Getting Here:
It is slightly hidden in an alleyway, and not a spot you would encounter if you didn’t know it exists. I recommend saving the location on Google Maps app first.
The actual address: Tsukiji 2-12-6, SK Higashi-Ginza Bldg 1F. The FB page for further info.
