One of the best attractions on the Las Vegas strip (at least for me) would be the insane amount of food that you can find. Here’s a list of places I ate at, and enjoyed. The price range at these places are budget (USD$5 to $10) to midrange (between USD$20 to USD$40 for the total bill).
In-n-Out Burger
One of the cheaper eats on the strip is In-and-out Burger. Tastes infinitely better than McDonald’s, but I wouldn’t call it the best burger I’ve had. I had mine “Animal Style”, and it helped mask that fast-food beef taste. It was still good though. I ordered the fries animal style as well. This helped the fries, for sure. In-n-Out do not have tasty fries at all, sorry.
Shake Shack all the way at New York New York might offer something fresher taste-wise, but it is also more expensive than In-n-Out – where you can get a double patty burger for less than USD$5.
In-And-Out Burger
Address: The Linq Promenade, 3545 Las Vegas Blvd. S.
Opening Hours: Sunday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m and closing at 1.30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Wahlburgers
I had to try some sort of celebrity-spawned restaurant while in Vegas, and when I saw Wahlburger’s I knew that was it. Freshly-made burgers here! When I first received my burger, I thought it was alright, but not memorable. It wasn’t until my waitress asked if I wanted sauce with it – to which, of course I said yes to. I had the tasty house Walhburger sauce, and it immediately elevated the burger to the level that it needed to be.
I also ordered the onion rings, which was uniquely thinly sliced. They were very good and worth a try. The lemonade came in plastic cups emblazoned with the restaurant’s name that you can bring home! Yay souvenir!
Wahlburgers Las Vegas

Opening Hours: Sunday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 a.m.
Hash House A Go Go
The restaurant looks like the typical American diner, so I felt like I was being local here. I like it. I ordered the monstrous chicken and gravy. It was as big as my head.
The waiter came round and said “oh don’t worry, we don’t expect you to finish this – usually this is for two.” To that, I said challenge accepted, my good sir. I didn’t quite finish it, but I got all the good stuff. I left about a millimeter of the mashed potatoes… The waiter was decidedly shocked as well: “You finished way more than a lot of guys have attempted! You just made my day,” he said, shaking his head at my plate in disbelief as he walked away with it.
Don’t get me wrong – I was BURSTING. But, it was a good dish. The gravy is a delicious chipotle creamy sauce. The chicken was seasoned well and very crispy. I believe it’s suppose to be sage-spiced, but I couldn’t quite taste that with the gravy slathered all over it. I didn’t mind; that sauce was epic.
With the generous portions, I’m tempted to lump this as a budget eat, because you can essentially purchase one dish to be shared between two people.
OH. And probably one of the best features of this restaurant: it’s open 24-hours!
I also got to go home with a free plastic souvenir cup, yay.
Hash House a Go Go at The LINQ Hotel
Address: The Linq, 3535 Las Vegas Blvd
Opening Hours: 24 Hours!
Eggslut
I was here for a quick snack. This is a New-York originated eatery that’s located at the Cosmopolitan. The specialty here is breakfast egg sandwiches. I ordered the burger with egg and avocado, and it was a very good vegetarian option. I do wish it had a bit more sauce on it, and if the buns were buttered more.
Eggslut
Address: Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, 3708 Las Vegas Blvd. S.
Opening Hours: Open Mon, Wed, Thurs, Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Tues, Sat, Sunday from midnight to 7 p.m.
Luke’s Lobster
Who says you need to go to Maine for good lobster? This ended up being my favourite place to eat in Vegas. Fresh lobster on a buttered bun. So simple, so pure, so, so good. I returned the next day to have the Lobster Mac and Cheese – also such a good meal. I only wish the portions for the mac and cheese was larger… So good.
Luke’s Lobster
Address: Fashion Show, 3200 Las Vegas Blvd. S.
Opening Hours: Sundays to Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to midnight
Gordon Ramsay’s Fish and Chips
Another one of my favourite eats here! The portions were huge, the fish was perfectly flaky and flavourful, and the batter was beautifully crispy and golden. The fries were good too. With your order, you get to choose two sauces. I obviously went for the spicy (but not really for me) Sriracha Aioli, and Gordon Ramsay’s house ranch. Both are delicious.
Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips
Address: The Linq Promenade, 3545 Las Vegas Blvd. S.
Opening Hours: Daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
El Segundo Sol
I came here upon recommendation from a friend, and also because I don’t know what good Mexican is. And I had the best tacos in life here at El Segundo! Not generally a big fish eater (unless it’s sashimi) but I thoroughly enjoyed the Mahi Mahi fish tacos here.
El Segundo Sol
Address: Fashion Show Mall, 3200 Las Vegas Blvd. S
Opening Hours: Daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Canonita
I had the Steak Fajitas here and I thought they were delicious. This was one of my more upscale expenditures, but there’s the added bonus of sitting by the fake canals of the Venetian and getting secondhand-serenaded by gondoliers.
Canonita
Address: The Grand Canal Shoppes, 3377 S Las Vegas Blvd
Opening Hours: Friday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., Sunday to Thursday from 8am to 10pm
