About

About the Nomadette

The travel, beauty and lifestyle blog for the mostly corporate girl.

It’s very cool that I get to travel a fair bit for work. Lately however, I’ve lost a bit of that sense of adventure that I used to have. Cooping myself up in the hotel room became a norm because “plane travel is tiring/I’ve been to this city too many times/I have work to catch up on”.

This space will be my passion project to reclaim that sense of adventure again – it will mostly be self-serving.

I will probably talk a lot about my travels. When I get asked about my travels or what to do in a city, I had to rely a lot on Instagram to jog my memory. Sometimes Instagram works, other times its limitations can get frustrating. Hence this space.

I might throw in a little ditty or two on makeup and skincare – because I’m obsessed with those. Skincare science is fascinating and makeup is magic.

As of publish, I’m very into 5- and 10-minute makeup looks, because ain’t nobody got time. I’m always on a lookout for a minimalistic, but effective skincare routine that works for when I’m traveling, because ain’t nobody got time. Or luggage space.

I say the word ‘pretty’ a lot. A LOT. Whether it’s to describe things or as an adverb.

I like taking pretty photos. If anyone knows of real hacks to take good photos of yourself when you’re on your own, let me know. The struggle is real.
